CATV over UTP

Planning, Design and Distribution

 

Teswaine services include the planning, design and distribution of CATV onto your new or existing Cat-5, Cat-5e, Cat-6 and Cat-6a infrastructure. Not only does the CATV over UTP solution provide significant initial savings versus the standard coax infrastructure, it adds the universal flexibility of placing a TV virtually anywhere there may be a spare RJ45 jack while receiving Digital TV (DTV) and High Definition (HDTV) channels. You can receive DTV and HDTV as well as picture-in-picture (PIP) right on your PC monitor.

 

 
bullet We work with your project team to coordinate the design of the CATV head-end with the cable provider.
  
 
bullet We adjust the structured cable design and ensure that the technology room and riser can support the conversion of the coax feed to UTP. Typically it fits right in with little or no modification.
  
 
bullet The Bill of Materials is detailed and provided for your review and approval. It is significantly cost effective in comparison to a standard coax distribution.
  
 
bullet Our engineers ensure that the attenuation for designated UTP cable feeds from the technology room to work locations is calculated based on the CATV frequency spectrum utilized.
  
 
bullet The proper gain of the distribution amplification equipment is adjusted for the proper input/output signal levels ensuring a quality signal strength and a clear picture.
  
 
bullet Signal level and carrier-to-noise (C/N)  is measured at all specified work location outlets that may be used for CATV.
  
 
bullet The overall project is managed from inception to delivery and commissioning.
  
 
bullet The overall system includes a one year warranty. Additional warranty and maintenance service is available.
